RIP Apps/Legal

RIP Apps support

Last updated: 1 October 2026 · Version 1.0

Something not working, or have an idea? Write to me at spinolabss@gmail.com and I’ll reply within 3 working days.

To help you faster, include your phone model, Android version and app version (you’ll find it in Android Settings → Apps → RIP Apps).

The app is currently available in Spanish only; button names below are given as they appear in the app.

Frequently asked questions

Why does it need usage access?

It’s the only way to know when you last opened each app, which is exactly what the app needs to tell which ones are dead. Only the date is read, not what you do inside each app, and nothing leaves your phone. You can revoke the permission whenever you like in Android Settings → Usage access.

It says I don’t have permission, but I’ve already granted it

Go back to the app with the back button or from the recent apps list; when you return it checks the permission again. If it still doesn’t see it, open Android Settings → Usage access → RIP Apps and check that it’s turned on.

An app shows up as dead, but I use it

The last-used date comes from Android. Some manufacturers (for example Xiaomi, Huawei or Samsung) update it late or irregularly. Open the app, go back to RIP Apps and pull down to refresh. If it still shows up, write to me with your phone model.

Why don’t all my apps appear?

The app only shows apps you installed yourself that haven’t been opened for at least 30 days (or that have been installed for more than 7 days without ever being opened). System apps and the ones you use often don’t appear in the graveyard.

Can the app uninstall apps for me?

No. Tapping «Enterrar» (Bury) takes you to that app’s Android screen and you are the one who taps “Uninstall”. If you come back without uninstalling it, it lives on.

I’m not getting alerts

Check that RIP Apps notifications are allowed in Android and that the alert you’re expecting is turned on in the app’s settings. Alerts never arrive between 21:00 and 10:00, and some manufacturers delay background tasks when battery saving is aggressive.

How do I delete my data?

It’s all on your phone. Uninstall the app or go to Android Settings → Apps → RIP Apps → Storage → Clear storage. There are no accounts and no copies on any server.

What data does the app collect?

None: everything stays on your phone. It’s explained in the privacy policy.
